Staying cool this summer
With the summer sun now shining, we want to make sure that you enjoy your visit to the Globe as much as possible. So here are a few handy hints on how to stay cool when the weather is heating up:
- Stay hydrated. Swan offers a whole host of refreshments, plus there’s a water fountain in the West Piazza (handy for refilling those water bottles). Even if it doesn’t look like a scorcher outside, it can still feel warm in the theatre with so many people around - so drinking water is especially important.
- Wear suncream (especially if you’re in the Yard, as there’s not much shade).
- Wear a hat. Not got one with you? Just ask our Stewards for a paper one.
- Our friendly Stewards are on hand if you do need any assistance. They wear uniforms, so they’ll be easy to spot.
