Opening this week
Shakespeare Untold, the opening event in the Shakespeare & Friendship Globe Education season, runs from 27-31 October, and on selected Saturday’s throughout the season. These exciting new adaptations of Shakespeare’s timeless tales focus on the great stories behind characters you didn’t notice. Download the full brochure here.
Also from the Shakespeare and Friends season, our first staged reading of the autumn, Read Not Dead: Damon and Pithias, opens at Middle Temple Hall on Sunday.
Elsewhere, Concerts By Candlelight continues apace, with performances from Judith Weir on Monday, and The John Langan Band with Will Barley on Sunday. Tickets are available now.
‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore continues after opening the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse winter season last week.
Further afield
World Hamlet sets off on the third leg of its world tour. Starting at National Cultural Centre in Georgetown, Guyana the company will then continue to perform in venues throughout South America.
